A belated but heartfelt thank-you to everyone for your kind comments on my (long past) last post, along with emails and instagram checkups in the interim. The second half of 2013 was basically a write-off, so I'm doing away with my predilection for continuity and instead charge valiantly toward a future where blogs sometimes actually get updated.

In the interest of such advancements; some photographs from March - the Labour Day long weekend - where we camped by the beach at Johanna. The sun was hot and the swells were altogether too powerful for swimming, but the beach was something to behold, and falling asleep to the thunder of waves crashing a welcome reprieve from the hum of the suburbs.

3 PICTURES + SOME WORDS

img149 Untitled Untitled

A walk along Merri Creek, an extreme effect from expired film and some important business being conducted over afternoon tea.

It's definitely love for me and my new camera & we've been quite busy together lately. Nothing I can share here just yet, but soon I hope...

Also, thanks to everyone for the positive response to my new Print Shop these last few weeks! Ive obtained perhaps an unhealthy level of enjoyment seeing my photographs shipped out all over the world. If it wasn't already blindingly obvious, I find this whole self-promotion caper to be particularly unnatural. Its something I really need to GET OVER at some point, though, and Im working on it slowly. So, uhhhh, thanks for bearing with me through my awkward flailing and for being lovely awesome non-trolly types around here, generally, come to think of it. You guys are alright!

A Pattern Emerging

Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled

A wet & windy walk, way back in May. I very nearly didn't share these images here, but finally remembered that a weekend in Queenscliff has become somewhat of a winters tradition around here. Remember last year, and the year before? Mustn't break with tradition now.

full adult / full jerk

UntitledUntitled2e1d253f-8533-4366-a3fb-86a96a22898d

Do you remember Heni from last year? She was staying here again for a few months, so on her last day I took some new portraits to show how she's not such a wee pup anymore (because I'm a massive nerd like that). Poppy wasn't having a bar of it, though. Totally photo bombed before taking over the entire thing. & then laughing at her own 'good joke'? What a complete jerk!

hello, you make no sense.

I am much better at flickr than I am at the blogs - but before the year is through I'll try to offload some of my 2011 photo surplus on this here space.

Q. How many Gratuitous Pictures Of My Italian Greyhound can you handle?

Young Love

From mid 2009, just a month or so after I adopted Poppy & still some of my favorite photographs of her, yet.

sunday arvo

These were taken last Sunday, which was a day mostly spent nursing a sore head. Today has been slightly more productive, at least...

I am headed to Tasmania on saturday and am fairly pumped on holiday anticipation. It feels like I havent gone anywhere new in forever.  So overdue!

Also, I forgot to mention sooner, but one of my photographs is in this  Limited Edition 2012 Poster Calander by Dante & Debbie Carlos.  I got mine in the mail last week and its really NICE!
